Things have been flying bye so quickly that I feel like I just blinked and Aramis is already crawling and Issa is stringing together words and making full sentences. October is here and it's getting to that time where I pack my summer clothing away and pull my winters out.
So what has the family been up to? Well, Efrain has been working with a company that installs guardrails at the side of the freeway. He is working at the Hoover Dam right now and is gone from Sunday till Friday at the moment. Typically his workweek is Sunday through Thursday but the latest job has been more taxing than before. He loves to be employed (as we all love that he is) but it is extremely difficult work and he is regularly away from family. So, I would say that we are all reluctantly grateful that we are among the employed;-) He is also lucky enough to be with a company who will put him through the Commercial Drivers License process which costs a bundle and requires that you bring your own work truck.
The children are making their own little breakthroughs in life. Aramis is rolling around on the floor with an apple right now and Issa is taking a nap (hence, I am able to write for a few moments). Daddy decided that his son needed a Mohawk so my 7-month-old looks...like a boy. Issa's curls keep on getting tighter and she is running around the house with no problem. We decided that she needed a way to blow off steam so she is taking gymnastics in PV. She calls it "jumping class." She is learning how to tumble, do jumping jacks, jump on the trampoline and more. It makes me crack up every time we go and I see her bouncing around with that ecstatic look on her face, so I think the money spent is well worth it.
I am wonderful as of now. I just got over a bug that someone brought home, so I am feeling weak but happy. Efrain asked that I advertise to sell some more of the flagstone furniture this weekend that he's made, so I'm cleaning up and pricing it all again. I'm also studying for the Foreign Service Officer Exam and am going through the process of trying to pick out a laptop after hosing mine down with the garden hose (by accident). I feel like I'm doing research on just about everything on this great big Earth covering the spectrum of mom, technology expert, and possible Embassy worker, so my brain is being filled with not-so-useless facts as well as being hesitantly interconnected via Twitter, Facebook, and email. I love having an online presence, but I also feel like I should have some kind of anonymity (impossible, I know). Every weekend brings something new, soon we will be going camping and to visit a close friend of mine in Tucson, then we will be doing Halloween things with the kids and November will be fast approaching. Love to all the fam and friends there reading this;-)
