So it has been awhile in writing and I'm feelin' inspired so here I am out on the patio in the morning sun. Issa is playing in a little pool that her grandpa set up for her and I have a chance to hang outside and ponder life in only the way one can while listening to the calls of nature in the morning. This month has brought many changes in life. Efrain is working for the Census as a Numerator and is going from house to house, counting people. You can imagine the stories that he comes back with about hostilities and also those people who are very excited to just meet a new person. He's truly learning about America one house at a time.
Baby Aramis is super-strong and is already 14lbs. He's standing with the aid of some hands and looks like he really wants to crawl already (God help me) lol. It is only suitable that since Issa's skin and eye color is exactly like dads that Aramis' should be like mom's. It's funny because he is as white as can be with Hazel eyes and light-brown hair. Issa is tan tan tan, with coffee-colored eyes, and dark-brown hair. Both don't hold a prayer for having straight hair though...Issa is already frowing and Aramis (once he grows some new hair) will no doubt be curly. Issa is a very active two-year-old and holds promise with being a dancer or athlete. It makes me laugh because others talk about having to walk their dogs so they don't go crazy in the house and I feel the same way about my two-year-old. She's as happy as a clam when she's outside and I love watching her play in the water or running down a forest trail.
As for all of us adults; we are doing just fine all living together. We all have our schedules and usually share our mornings and evenings, leaving the rest of the day to our own time constraints. Pop and I, or pop and Efrain go out paddling every other morning, which is a great start to the day. I'm pondering getting part-time work just to stay in the loop but also feel the pull of motherhood as I like to be at home with my kids. I'm planning on taking the Foreign Service Exam next month (if I can still sign up) and try my hand a working at a consulate eventually. This whole process could take two or more years but I'm willing to wait because it would be good for me to be able to breast-feed Aramis for another year anyway. And that is assuming that I pass the Foreign Service Test. As all of my close friends know, test-taking is not even on the list of my many talents...but courage and determination are so we shall see where those take me. Mom is looking into a variety of job options since she left Travel Quest and pop is still doing massage and enjoys a fairly large clientele. Well, that's all for now. I'm going to try and keep on my blog because heck, it's nice to just write down a thought every now-and-again.
