Summer Travel!

Well Hello to September!
Here's to wishing everyone a great school year as we embark on Fall festivities!  My nephew, Kaidyn, and my husband, Efrain, have both had their birthdays in the last few weeks, so a happy birthday to them both and may this next year be the happiest, most interesting and healthiest year as of yet for you both!

In the Tax Family, we have jumped back into the school year with full force as it started on August 16th.  We had just gotten back from visiting my grandma in Washington State, and I must have seen the wrong calendar because I thought school started on the 17th.   We would have had a day of rest but there we were, in the airport in Dallas/Fort worth, realizing that we would land at 11pm and go to school on the 16th (the next day) first thing in the morning!   My daughter Issabella and my son Aramis handled it so well though and Issa did crochet on the plane while Aramis read and played games on my phone.  Luckily, my grandma (GG) and my aunt Michelle (Aunt "M") are both crafty so they gave the kids crafts and things to be excited about on the plane. I asked Aunt M to throw together some cheese we had gotten from a farm near the house and the fresh apples from their tree to hold us over during our travels; GG bagged up some crackers too and we munched on those snacks while we traveled instead of icky airport food- it made our travels much more decadent that they would have been!  We had so much fun visiting with Aunt M, GG and Syd (my uncle) in Washington and each day was jam packed with berries, gardening and adventuring.  Uncle Syd works at the local air museum and we had the "grand tour" that created some lasting memories for us all.  GG and Aunt M were up to all of my crazy requests to go here and there. GG even swept us all up to go to Fort Casey on the very first day there which was an hour and a half drive that she sat through without even flinching.  Our gratitude towards the family is great and the time there was unforgettable!

So I have quite a bit of footage to sort through y'all!  This summer started off with Summer Rec. here in West Texas.  After 2 weeks of that we hit the road to The Alamo in San Antonio which was our first visit to the beautiful city (Video #1).  After that we had some time home and then the children and I went to Arizona to visit with my mother Pamela and father Les and to enjoy the attractions of Northern Arizona (video #2 in the Summer Series).  We rambled around West Texas together which may be another video and lastly we visited, GG up in the PNW (Pacific Northwest).
I can't wait to edit the videos and get them out to y'all! So to work I go!
